Virtual: Panel Discussion: Psychedelics and Cancer

FreeJoin us for a discussion on the therapeutic use and potential of psychedelics for cancer patients. This panel will be moderated by Dr. Gabrielle Wolk and will feature an Integrative MD, an Illinois policy advocate, and a Canadian cancer patient who underwent psilocybin – assisted therapy. Topics will include current research on the use of psychedelics for cancer-related distress, proposed legislation to legalize therapeutic use of plant medicine in Illinois, and firsthand experience of psilocybin-assisted therapy from a patient’s perspective.
Moderated by: Gabrielle Wolk, PsyD, Cancer Wellness Center
Dr. Gabrielle Wolk is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She completed training and earned her certificate with MAPS MDMA Assisted Therapy program, the End of Life Psychedelic Care core program, and the Alchemy Ketamine Therapy Provider Training program. She also served as a peer support on Fireside Project Psychedelic Support Hotline. Dr. Wolk is ultimately interested in providing psilocybin-assisted therapy to people experiencing distress related to a cancer diagnosis.
