FreeLearn about the basics of Cannabis sativa and its potential risks and benefits as a therapeutic substance. Beyond the basics of THC and CBD, Dr. Temple will discuss other aspects of this highly complex plant and its constituents with their potential effects. Routes, frequency, timing, and dosing guidelines will be discussed as it pertains to treating common side effects of cancer, including chronic pain, neuropathy, nausea, anxiety, and insomnia.

To date, Dr. Temple has certified over 550 patients for medical cannabis in her practice since Illinois opened its patient program in 2015. She also served as Chair of the Medical Cannabis Advisory Board for the Illinois Department of Public Health, influencing state and hospital policy with respect to this controversial medicinal and recreational plant
