Sad Isn’t Bad
Tuesday, June 10 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm CDT
An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until Tuesday, June 24, 2025
Starting in June, CWC is offering a grief program for children ages 6-12. Join our Certified Child Life Specialist, Elyssa Siegel, for 4 sessions aimed at helping kids cope with their grief after losing a family member to cancer.
During each session, we will work on emotional expressive activities and create a safe-space to share feelings. We will provide activities focused on fostering resilience while having fun. Dinner will be provided, please contact us prior to the program if your child has any food allergies.
Parents are invited to stay the first session to learn about the adult grief services offered at CWC and ask questions to our Bereavement Programs Coordinator, Stephanie Aaron, MA, LCSW. Parents are invited to stay or drop off for the remaining sessions.
Attendance is required for each session of this 4 week program. Session dates June 3, 10, 17, 24.
Please note:
Registration closes at 6:00 pm June 3.
Program will be held from 6:00 – 7:30 pm with the last session being 6:00 – 8:00 pm
