Tuesday, January 18, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am CST
FreeWhat to Expect—
In this program you will learn how mindfulness-based techniques can:
• Ease the physical symptoms of grief
• Calm your mind and help you regulate difficult emotions
• Improve your awareness of the present moment
• Increase your compassion towards yourself and others
• Help you to make meaning from your loss
• Develop your new self-narrative for moving forward
Exercises each week may include:
• Mindfulness mediations to teach you how to approach each moment with awareness and compassion
• Guided relaxations to help your body benefit from the relaxation response
• Mindful journaling to help you express your feelings with compassion and without judgment
Please plan to attend in a space that is private to ensure group confidentiality. The best place for attending the sessions would be at home or in a space where you feel comfortable, with minimal distractions to practice mindfulness and engage in mediation. It is recommended to have paper and pen readily available for weekly journaling and reflection.
