Acupuncture is the gentle insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body. According to the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health, acupuncture is effective for easing pain in cancer patients and for helping to control nausea. This is an extremely gentle yoga class perfect for beginners, those with limited movement or for those that would like to relax. This class will use props and can be done from a chair if necessary. Wear comfortable clothing.
Healing Ourselves Through Sound with Crystal Bowl & Voice

Knitting Workshop: The Monday Knitters

Researchers at the Mind/Body Medical Institute at Harvard Medical School discovered that knitting may be as effective as meditation, yoga and chanting in triggering the body's relaxation response. Come knit and reduce stress all at the same time. Knitting needles and yarn are provided, unless participants are working on a personal project.
