Clinical Associate & Intake Coordinator

Priscilla Andrews is a counselor at the Cancer Wellness Center, working with individuals and couples through the family room™ program. She also facilitates a variety of groups at the Center, including an Evening Women's Survivor Support Group, the Ovarian Cancer Discussion Group and the Multiple Myeloma Discussion Group. As the Intake Coordinator, Priscilla helps to ensure that all requests for clinical services are fulfilled in a timely manner. Priscilla's main areas of interest are survivorship, caregiver support, and bereavement.

Clinical Associate

Dr. Bob Campbell is a psychotherapist who works with individuals, families, and couples through the family room™ program. He also coordinates Men’s programming and facilitates the Men's Survivor Support Groups at the Center. Bob holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and is an ordained United Methodist pastor. He has interests in palliative care and pain management, and uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, hypnosis, and mindfulness meditation in his practice.

Wellness Program Coordinator

Deborah Kronenberger is a licensed clinical professional counselor and certified yoga instructor. She coordinates wellness programming for the Cancer Wellness Center and its partners. Deborah teaches yoga, meditation and stress reduction and facilitates the Spirituality Discussion Groups. She is a licensed clinician and counsels individuals and couples through the Center's family room™ program. Deborah’s interests include mind, body and spirit approaches to wellness and healing.

Support Programs Coordinator

Kim is a licensed clinical professional counselor who has been at the Cancer Wellness Center since 1998. She facilitates a support group for Young Women with Cancer and a support group for Significant Others of a loved one with cancer. Kim teaches Meditation at the Botanic Garden and Strength for Caring: Supporting the Caregiver. She also sees families, individuals and couples in the family room™ program.

Megan McMahon, Ph.D.

Clinical Director

Dr. McMahon has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in health and behavioral medicine. Her specialty is working with couples who are coping with chronic illness. In 2003 Dr. McMahon developed the program Partners Empowered™, a six-week structured intervention aimed at facilitating adjustment and softening the impact a cancer diagnosis has on a couple's relationship. In 2011, Dr. McMahon was named the Clinical Director.  She also sees individuals and couples in the family room™ program.

Post Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Katie Salyer received a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. She provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families through the family room™ program, and enjoys working with children and adolescents as well as adults. Katie oversees services at the Grayslake satellite and facilitates the Survivor Support Group at the Grayslake location. Additionally, Katie conducts the Screen and Link programs within North Shore Oncology Hematology Associates and Vista Cancer Center, assessing needs, providing education, and connecting patients to community resources. Katie is also involved in clinical training at the Cancer Wellness Center, supervising doctoral level practicum students.

Clinical Associate

Dr. Gilda Schaffer is a bilingual (Spanish-English) psychotherapist who specializes in brief and long-term therapy for late adolescents, individuals and couples. She has experience working with a varied range of disorders, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, fears and phobias, difficult life transitions and the application of hypnosis to the treatment of somatic disorders. Dr. Schaffer works in the Northbrook location on a part-time basis, providing counseling services to individuals through the Center's family room™.

Bereavement Coordinator

Deb Wojcik has coordinated the Bereavement Program at the Cancer Wellness Center since 2000. She facilitates groups, provides counseling, and occasionally teaches. In addition, Deb presents specialized programs aimed at employers, organizations or schools dealing with illness and grief in their workplace settings, and presents on various topics in the community as part of the Outreach Program at the Center. Deb’s 25+ years of experience includes work in hospital, hospice, EAP and managed care, and for more than 20 years, she has also had a private practice, focused on chronic or life-limiting medical illness, grief, loss, bereavement and life transitions.

Michael Hawkins, M.A.

Advanced Practicum Student

Michael Hawkins is a 4th year Doctoral Student at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He is completing his advanced practicum at the Cancer Wellness Center providing therapy and counseling services for individuals, couples, and groups. Some of Michael's interests within the field of psychology include child and adolescent psychology, expressive therapies, phenomenology, spirituality, mindfulness, critical and community psychology, and trauma.

Gabrielle Wolk, M.A.

Advanced Practicum Student

Gabrielle Wolk is a 4th year Doctoral Student at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is completing her advanced practicum at the Cancer Wellness Center providing therapy and counseling services for individuals, couples, and groups. Some of Gabrielle’s interests within the field of psychology include geriatrics, health psychology, humanistic and existential therapies, mindfulness, and end-of-life and bereavement.

Executive Director

Nancy is the Executive Director of the Cancer Wellness Center. Prior to holding this position, Nancy served in multiple roles within the Center, beginning in 2005. Throughout her tenure at the Center, Nancy has served as Assistant Director of Development, Director of Development and Operations, Director of Operations and, most recently, Chief Operating Officer.

Corrie Delevitt

Director of Donor Relations and Events

Corrie manages all aspects of the fundraising events at the Cancer Wellness Center, including the Stepping Up Run/Walk, the Library Event, the Golf Outing and the Annual Benefit. She brings with her 10+ years of non-profit event planning experience to the Center.

Jacqueline manages the Center’s database. She keeps information current by making all changes and inputs contributions and commemorations. Jacqueline has over 20 years experience in database management with nonprofit organizations.

Nancy is responsible for the accounting of the Cancer Wellness Center. She has over 15 years of accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
